2022 after the General Meeting of the Moravian Church of Tanzania Southern Province held in December 2021 approved its establishment in the Synod of that year.
OBJECTIVES OF ITS ESTABLISHMENT.
This Information department was established with the following objectives.
1. Gathering, writing and disseminating information Various pictures and videos about the Moravian Church in Tanzania Southern Province.
2. Managing supply of the various publications of the Moravian Church in Tanzania, South Province.
3. Manage and control all information of the Church from a specific procedure
· Due to the development of technology, a lot of information of the Church have been leaking arbitrarily and causing people to miss the truth in their church and cause them to struggle to get information from sources uncertain. This department was established to ensure that people get information reliable information from reliable sources and control the leakage of information.
4. Supervise and coordinate the establishment of Institutions Church news.
· Moravian Church Tanzania South Province has carried the vision of establishing its own media including Radio and Television.
So then this Department was established to manage the entire process of establishment and coordination of these entities.
5. Setting Up and Running Social Media Pages of the Church.
· The development of technology has led to a large society to get his information through social media pages, for that reason
The Moravian Church of Tanzania Southern State thought it was good to also reach out to the community the biggest one in the networks by establishing this Department that will be in charge all his social networks.
6. Coordinating and managing all social activities such as Meetings, Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and all related gatherings
Church leaders.
· This department is responsible for ensuring all activities social events involving Church Leaders are well organized and successful
as planned.
7. To be a link between the Church and the community
· This department has a great task of connecting the community with their Church through the Leaders who manage the church.
8. Speaking and building a good image of the Moravian Church in Tanzania Southern Province in the community.
9. Coordinating press conferences and cooperating with other media.
10. To promote and publicize all the projects of the Moravian Church of Tanzania South Province.
11. To advise and assist other church departments in technological and informational matters.
12. Helping Church Congregation in various technology and information issues and conveying the Gospel through preaching, singing, etc.
OBJECTIVES ACHIEVED SO FAR.
The Moravian Church of Tanzania Southern Province through its Department has been successful in various matters as follows.
1. To control the leakage of information that does not follow the procedures of the Moravian Church Tanzania South Province.
2. Establishing an umbrella to manage and run its media called Njiwa Media.
3. Establishing and running its online media which is
· Online Television {Njiwa Media}
· Online Radio {Njiwa Online Radio}
· Social networks like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Thread {Njiwa Media}
4. Running the Website of the Moravian Church of Tanzania, Southern Province {www.mctsp.org} as well as managing the appearance of our Museum online.
5. Connecting large communities with their Church through social networks.
6. Managing and coordinating some Church activities through some Departments including the Department of Projects and Social Welfare.
7. Building a good image of the Church in society
8. Promote and advertise Church projects including our colleges, schools, museums and Butusyo Guest House.
9. Advising and assisting other Departments in various issues related to technology etc.
10. To help our Congregation through their choirs to be able to convey the gospel far, where until now several choirs are already online and others are being helped.
