Nambumbo Moravian Vocational Training Centre

The Namtumbo Moravian Vocational Training Centre was founded in 2016 by the Moravian Church in Tanzania - South Province, with the support of HMH (Herrnhuter Missionshilfe). We welcome students of all economic and religious backgrounds in our centre and are keen to play our part in the development of the society.

We offer the following courses:

Long courses (2 years):
  • Domestic Electric Installation
  • Tailoring
Short courses (3 months up to 1 year)
  • Domestic Electric Installation
  • Tailoring
  • Computer Application
At the moment 35 students are enrolled in our long courses. We are also planning to offer a Motor Vehicle Mechanics course, starting in 2020. If you would like to join Nambumbo VTC, you can download our Joining Form here.

The school's registration certificate number is VET/RVM/PR/2018/C/091.

We offer a variety of facilities that aim to give our students a conducive learning environment. The school has a Computer Lab with 9 computers and workshop for our Tailoring students with sewing machines. There are also dormitories for boys and girls with a modern infrastructure, each one providing space for 16 students. Furthermore, a car workshop is being built at the moment for our Motor Vehicle Mechanics course, who will start in 2020.

Five teachers and one watchman are currently working at Nambumbo Vocational Training Centre.
